Taxi (from the French. Taximètre «counter price», later was the name of the machine itself) - a means of public transport, usually a car used to transport passengers and goods to any specified point to the cost of the machine to count - taximeters. Sometimes (in less developed countries, almost always) appointed by the contract price with the driver. Most of the time as a taxi used Sedans or minivans, and limousines are found. In developed countries, taxi drivers are coordinating their actions with the controller taxis, which can transmit information to drivers on the orders by radio, or by phone. Japanese taxis for this purpose is navigation via GPS. In the majority of taxis in the former Soviet Union adopted a fee per kilometer, while the distance between the starting and end point is computed before the journey. The advantage of this approach is to focus on the passenger - the cost of travel is dependent on road conditions and driver of profitable best route to go, and with optimum speed. Disadvantage - the driver disadvantageous to work hours in traffic jams (this is usually offset by increases in tariffs during peak hours). Other options pricing: - rate per minute; - fee for kilometer to meter. Both options are fraught with fraud by the taxi driver. Cost of travel by taxi, as a rule, does not depend on the number of people and goods (additional charge is only for easy shipment and excess luggage). In places where the demand for taxis is great (for example, at the airports at night) is a taxi driver, who will offer more. Organization offering a goods or service
